5 Questions With: Verluna, Singer- Songwriter

Updated: Mar 3, 2020

Meet Verluna, also known as indie folk singer-songwriter Alex Katsaropoulos. By layering stunning vocal harmonies over soft instrumentals and slow intentional chords, his music is hauntingly beautiful and will leave you transfixed.

The warmth of Verluna's music embodies a certain type of longing often found in the folk genre, a question in search of an answer. As to whether or not that question gets answered is up to you, the listener, to decide.

Alex describes his sound as “experimental, sad, and meditative” and that sincerity can be felt in each song, each verse, and each strum of the guitar. At its core, Verluna’s music is both a punch to the gut and a caress of the skin—it’s fragile, unfiltered, honest, and as a result, incredibly satisfying.

Watch our 5 Questions interview below to see why we find Alex so dang cool and endearing. Whether he’s dreaming of his breakout role as a carpenter on the next bingeable HGTV show or jamming to “Umbrella” by our queen Robyn Rihanna Fenty, he feels like someone you could easily befriend.

Keep up with Verluna on Instagram to stay updated on all of his latest projects.

“5 Questions With” is a video interview series giving a glimpse into the person behind the artist.
